🎬 Sundance Film Festival — Boulder 2027

Boulder's first-ever Sundance host year.

January 21–31, 2027 · 183 days out

This page is a work in progress

Sundance relocating from Park City, Utah is a genuinely new thing for Boulder, and a lot of what people will actually want to know — ticket and pass pricing, the on-sale date, whether there's a Boulder-residents discount or access program, the film lineup, and final road-closure/parking/shuttle details — has not been announced yet as of this writing. This page only states what's officially confirmed, and will grow as real information lands (historically, on-sale dates land in the fall before the festival and the lineup is announced in December).

Confirmed venues

Getting around

The confirmed direction is a free, transit-centric access model built around the HOP circulator (most venues sit on its route, Chautauqua is the exception), with extended late-night service, regional Flatiron Flyer/BOLT service, park-and-rides, and up to 5,000 free shared e-bike passes. Exact routes, hours, and any road closures were still being finalized as of this writing — check the official sources below closer to the festival.

Screenings, talks & community events

Detailed programming (individual film screenings, panels, and any free community events) hasn't been announced yet. This section will fill in as Sundance and the City of Boulder release more — check back later in 2026.
